By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids.

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna, part of Optimist International, is a 100% volunteer Community Service organization. The Club conducts positive service projects in local communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth including special programs and scholarships. We also organize and run the Vienna Farmers Market, Annual Christmas Tree Fundraiser, and provide tours to our local Caboose. With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be. Every year, Optimists around the world conduct 65,000 service projects and serve well over six million young people.

- Farmers Market 2025 Call for Vendors

Calling all food and local producer vendors! It's that time of year to apply for the 2025 Vienna Farmers Market! The Farmers Market is a producer only market (no crafts) and runs from May until October every year. For more information such as rules and regulations and links to apply, please see our Farmers Market page!

- Essay Contest Time!

It's that time of year again! An opportunity to compete for a $2,500 scholarship for college! And the first step is to apply for our club level essay contest. Winners advance to the District contest to compete for the $2,500. This year's topic is "How Optimism Has Paved My Road to Success.” For more information on eligibility, rules and application, please see our Youth Programs and Scholarships page! Good luck!

- Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year from the Optimist Club of Greater Vienna! What a productive year we had in 2024. Our most visited Farmer's Market and our biggest Christmas Tree sale! We have a lot more coming this year.

Our first Caboose tour will be in March.
The Farmer's Market will reopen in May.
Open House Socials will take place throughout the year for anyone interested in finding out more about the club and joining! Make sure to keep a look out on this site for upcoming dates!
We will also have scholarship opportunities and awards.
And lastly, our calendar below will let you know of all of our events.
